September 4th - 8th

Monday and Friday were both local holidays, so it was another short school week. We still managed to fit in some "messy play" activities. 

They really loved the baking soda and colored vinegar activity. First they enjoyed dropping the colored vinegar into the baking soda and watching how the vinegar made the soda bubble and fizz, and then they used their hands to play with the goopy mixture. This activity kept them busy for a long time, and we will definitely try it again in the future.

Sometimes I think about how lucky we are to have year round swimming weather! 

I whipped up some sensory foam in the kitchen with tear free baby shampoo and water. I knew this one would be messy, so we took it outside and invited Andrew's friend  Luke to join us. They loved it! Andrew kept pretending to make "soup" with the foam. It was pretty cute. :)
